They are around us. Everywhere. More and more often, it happens to bump into people looking a bit suspicious, walking pretty fastly in public gardens, on the beach or in the streets. Often, they are in a couple, a boy and a girl. They act like if they share a secret, and it seems other people are just annoying to them. It seems like those boys and girls can't wait to be alone, possibly to be in each other's arms, in beautiful places, narrow streets...do they share a love story ? They sure look kinda mysterious.
Suddenly, from under the guy's jacket there is a reflex camera showing up...and she is opening her trench, only to reveal a statement outfit...After a first moment, it's not too hard to realize they are looking for a good spot to take pics, and that they have a blog, too ! It's the begging of a quest for the corner with the best light and the coolest background, and they are ready to fight for it using their reflex and her bag as swords ! She is posing like a pro and he's shooting like mad, they are a perfect team, only to turn into shy and embarassed lovers as soon as somebody passes by !.
Loro sono tra noi. Ovunque. Sempre più spesso, accade di imbattersi in persone dall'aria sospetta, che camminano velocemente nei giardini pubblici, al mare, o per la strada. Spesso, si tratta di coppie, un ragazzo e una ragazza. Si comportano come i depositari di un segreto, e come se le altre persone costituissero solo un impiccio. Sembra che la coppia non veda l'ora di trovarsi da sola, magari uno nelle braccia dell'altra, in posti belli, stradine strette...condividono una storia d'amore ? Hanno l'aria sicuramente misteriosa.
Improvvisamente, ecco da sotto il giubbotto del ragazzo spuntare una reflex...e lei si apre il trench, rivelando un eccentrico outfit...Dopo un primo momento, non è difficile capire che sono lì per trovare un buon posto per fare foto, perché anche loro hanno un blog ! Inizia la ricerca dell'angolo con la luce giusta e lo sfondo più cool, che può diventare conteso a colpi di reflex e di borsetta !. Lei posa come una professionista, lui scatta all'impazzata, sono un team perfetto, solo per tornare timidi e imbarazzati innamorati non appena qualcuno passi dalle loro parti !.

When I bump into people taking pics and it's obvious that they are meant to be posted on a fashion blog, I try to play the indifferent one...then I hug my husband and with a soft smile on my face I whisper in his ear: "let's find another place...", LOL !. I am a bit amused but I respect the others' privacy, because I know that being an outfit blogger can be hard...there are a lot of difficulties, let me share with you what are the 5 worst things for a fashion blogger's pics, and let me know your opinion !.
Quando mi imbatto in gente che scatta foto con l'evidente intento di postarle su un fashion blog, faccio l'indifferente...poi sussurro all'orecchio di mio marito "troviamo un altro posto..." ! Ne sono un po' divertita, ma rispetto la privacy altrui, perché so che essere outfit blogger può essere dura...ci sono diverse difficoltà. In particolare, ecco quali (secondo me) sono i 5 peggiori nemici delle foto di una fashion blogger, ci tengo a conoscere la vostra opinione in riguardo !.
The 5 things that make your outfit pics look bad:
1) The annoying group of people staring at you when you are taking pics - I don't know whether that happens to you, but I hate it when people stops and stare, it makes me nervous and I end up looking tense, so we always try to find places where there is nobody, not easy at all !;
2) The weather: not fun to take pics under the pouring rain, or with a strong wind that makes you look like cousin IT (or, as I often say, turning myself into a Joey Tempest from Europe's lookalike ) !;
3) Bad judgement on the outfit: sometimes you'll think that outfit was such a good idea, unless regretting it later, when you see the pics...and you will be thinking "was I crazy to think it would work ?";
4) The lack of attention to details: sometimes you'll take all the pics with your open trousers, or with a price tag hanging from a sleeve. You will curse yourself for wasting all that time and energy to have pics with a sweater worn in the wrong way, and you will ask to your photographer whether why wasn't he playing attention to you during the shooting ? (Done it...and the reply I got was "I am only able to do one thing at a time, so I was already taking pics, therefore I didn't notice !" - hubby is too smart, I couldn't reply to that !);
5) The light: a bad light can ruin all your pics...sometimes I was almost forced to have pics taken with too much sun, and they didn't turn out as good as those taken at sunset, for example. See the pics in this post, taken after having lunch, with a strong sunlight...but since there was nobody staring at me, the weather was good and the look wasn't that bad, also I had no weird things happening to my clothes, I chose to publish them anyway !.
Le cinque cose che rendono brutte le vostre foto outfit:
1) L'irritante gruppetto di persone che si ferma a guardare mentre vengono scattate le foto - non so se accada anche a voi - non sopporto quando la gente si ferma a guardare, mi innervosisce e si vede anche in foto, così cerco sempre di trovare un posticino tranquillo per scattare in libertà, non sempre impresa facile !;
2) Il meteo: non è divertente scattare foto sotto la pioggia battente o con un vento così forte da tramutare i vostri capelli in quelli del cugino IT (o, come dico spesso io, nella sosia di Joey Tempest ai tempi gloriosi degli Europe !);
3) La cattiva percezione del proprio look: a volte vi sarà capitato di pensare che quell'outfit fosse stupendo ed una buona idea, solo per pentirvene dopo, una volta viste le foto...avrete pensato "dovevo essere impazzita per pensare che potesse funzionare davvero ?";
4) La disattenzione verso i dettagli: a volte tutte le foto scattate mostreranno che avevate i pantaloni aperti, o la targhetta del prezzo che pendeva da una manica. Vi maledirete per aver sprecato tempo ed energia per avere delle foto in cui la maglia è indossata male, e chiederete come mai il vostro fotografo non si è accorto di nulla ! (Fatto...e se il vostro fotografo è paraculo diplomatico come il mio, vi sentirete rispondere "posso fare solo una cosa alla volta, stavo già scattando le foto, per cui non mi sono accorto di altro !" - il maritino sa bene come rispondere ! LOL );
5) La luce: una cattiva illuminazione può davvero rovinare tutte le foto...a volte, per forza di cose, sono stata quasi obbligata a fare le foto con troppo sole, e sicuramente non sono venute bene come quelle scattate al tramonto. Le foto di questo post, ad esempio, sono state scattate dopo pranzo, con troppa luce...ma siccome il gruppetto di persone non si è presentato, il meteo era ottimo e il look non mi sembrava così osceno, né tantomeno avevo dimenticato di controllare cose strane circa i miei abiti, le sto pubblicando ugualmente !.

Now that I think about it, there is also a 6th enemy for an outfit blogger pics...sadly, sometimes it's the blogger herself/himself ! Yes, I personally think extreme duck faces, acting like if we were top models or just taking ourselves too seriously turns out to be ridiculous and annoying. I think the best thing is to keep our feet on the ground, even if they are wearing sky high shoes ! ;)
Of course, having fun is always the most important thing...in spite of people staring, of the weather, bad outfits ideas and poor styling, in spite of bad lighting, irony can do much, don't you agree with me ?.
Ora che ci penso, c'è anche un 6° nemico per le foto di una outfit blogger... è triste, ma può essere la/il blogger stessa/o ! Sì, personalmente sono convinta che le "duck lips" estreme, i comportamenti da top model che si prende troppo sul serio possano risultare ridicoli e anche fastidiosi. La cosa migliore è tenere i piedi per terra, anche se calzati in scarpe dal tacco vertiginoso ! ;-)
Ovviamente, divertirsi è sempre la cosa più importante...nonostante le persone che guardano, il tempo, gli abbinamenti improbabili e le disattenzioni, nonostante la cattiva illuminazione, l'ironia può fare molto...non siete d'accordo con me ?.
