There are times when I find myself staring at a window shop because I saw something that I already feel like mine, and before I can even realize it, if the price is affordable, I am the fastest shopper ever, and it was the case when I saw this eye cathing orange and blue dress.
Orange for Fall is a great idea and it doesn't just mean pumpkins, after all !. This dress has a vintage vibe, a bit 70s inspired and I just love this bright shade of orange, even more when it's mixed with blue ! A walk was the perfect chance to sport it together with my new bracelet from Dale Grey Vintage, coming directly from New York !.
Ci sono delle volte in cui mi ritrovo a fissare una vetrina perché ho notato qualcosa che sento già mio, e prima di riuscire a connettere, se il prezzo è ragionevole, ci metto appena qualche minuto per comprarlo; questo è quanto mi è successo con questo abitino dall'aria molto particolare, adocchiato in un negozietto delle mie parti. L'arancione in autunno è un'ottima idea e non vuole soltanto dire zucche, dopotutto !. Questo abito ha un'aria vintage, la stampa è un po' anni 70, e adoro la tonalità accesa di arancio, ancora di più se mixata con il blu ! The print on this empire cut dress is really eye catching, it makes me think of an old painting, or one of those decorations on the ceiling of ancient, luxury homes. It features three quarter sleeves and a buckle detail. The flowers print is also on the back of the dress. There's a print even on the sleeves of the dress, that reminds me one of my mum's dressing gown from when I was a little kid...maybe this old memory influenced me in my adulthood love for bright prints, who knows ! ;).
I don't usually like empire cut dresses on me, but being this one in stretch fabric and having a bodycon cut, I like it because if falls pretty straight at the front.
La stampa di questo abito in stile impero è davvero particolare, mi fa pensare ad un vecchio dipinto, o ad una di quelle decorazioni sui soffitti di lussuose case antiche. Ha le maniche a tre quarti e una fibbia decorativa. La stampa a fiori si trova anche sulla parte posteriore dell'abito. C'è una stampa anche sulle maniche dell'abito, che mi ricorda una vestaglia di mia madre di quando ero una bimba...forse questo vecchio ricordo mi ha influenzata e mi ritrovo, da adulta, amante delle stampe così accese, chi lo sa ! ;).
Solitamente non amo molto gli abiti dal taglio impero, ma questo, essendo in parte elasticizzato e avendo una linea abbastanza aderente, rientra nei miei gusti perché cade abbastanza dritto sul davanti.
I decided to wear my dress with heavy dark blue tights, and I went for my Chiarini Bologna ankle boots, that have both a modern and a classic shape. See them better in the pic below !. I like this orangey leather and the dark edges.
Ho deciso di indossare questo abitino con calze pesanti blu scuro, e come scarpe ho scelto i miei ankle boots Chiarini Bologna, che hanno una forma sia moderna che classica. Potete vederli meglio nella foto sotto !. Mi piacciono la tonalità aranciata della pelle e i bordi scuri a contrasto.

The bag of choice was a Zara clutch, in a shade of orange that reminded me of the dress. I didn't want to put any other color than blue and orange in this outfit, because the dress already has a statement print. Even my Chanel nail polish was blue, and my sunglasses !.
I opted for an orange YSL lipstick for this outfit and, around my neck, I chose a Tarino Tarantino pendant that I've been cherishing for quite a long time. I love it when pretty accessories last with time, cause accessories really do make the difference. I am sure it's gonna be the same with this Dale Grey Vintage Reese bracelet, and that this is just the first one out of many looks with it.

La borsa prescelta è stata la clutch di Zara in un color arancio che ricorda quello dell'abito. Non volevo esagerare con altri colori, dato che questo abito ha già una stampa molto vistosa. Persino il mio smalto Chanel era blu, come - del resto - gli occhiali a specchio !.
Ho optato per un rossetto arancione YSL che riprendesse il colore predominante dell'outfit e, come collana, ne ho scelto una con ciondolo che possiedo da un bel po', di Tarina Tarantino.
Mi piace quando gli accessori durano nel tempo, possono sempre fare la differenza. Sono sicura che accadrà lo stesso con questo bracciale modello Reese Dale Grey Vintage, e che dopo questa potrò sfoggiarlo in molte altre occasioni !.
