How to wear a pink pleated velour skirt: I chose black

A pink pleated velour skirt is the key piece to this daytime outfit. Velour, a soft fabric with a velvet effect, had its strong comeback this season, and I couldn't help wearing this trend that is not even easy to wear (but I already got back to 90s wearing a pair of velour trackpants in this post). How to wear it? I love both pleats and pink, two things that drive me crazy, and let this pink velour pleated midi skirt had the spotlight by matching a black sweater and black accessories. Also my dear friend Iolanda Corio, blogger on The Shade of Fashion, wore a similar skirt, more peachy, with a rock attitude, you can see it below.

Come indossarla?

Difference between velvet and velour

Velvet and velour are similar but actually they are different, velvet is a thicker, more expensive and less stretchy fabric. I have fallen in love with this pleated skirt by Compagnia Italiana that has the perfect length, and that "good girl outfit" vibe. I spiced up such a romantic piece with my black ankle boots from Giovanni Fabiani, and a sweater with a black panther on it. My beloved Chanel 2.55 bag in caviar leather completed the look. I personally love the match pink and black, and you? Do you have anything in velour in your closet or do you refuse to bring the 90s back?
