How did your Easter holidays go ? Mine went pretty well, in spite of the pretty cold weather. It seems Spring hasn't sprung yet ! Time for middle season outfits, with still quite warm keeping clothes and a touch of new ;). It's the case with this ethnic print blazer from Maison Scotch, with a touch of neon, to give a bit of light to this transitional look !. After all, there is still a lot of time to sport sandals and summer clothes, so let's enjoy what we have now !.
Come sono andate le vostre vacanze di Pasqua ? Le mie sono andate abbastanza bene, nonostante il tempo non proprio primaverile ! Tempo adatto ad outfit da "mezza stagione", con abiti non propriamente leggeri ma allo stesso tempo con un tocco di novità. E' il caso di questo blazer in felpa di Maison Scotch, a stampa tribale con un tocco di neon. L'ho usato per dare colore ad un look "di transizione". Dopotutto c'è ancora un bel po' di tempo per sfoggiare sandali e abiti estivi, per cui è meglio godersi ciò che si ha adesso !.

I absolutely love this tribal print blazer, I will surely wear it also with jeans and on a simple t-shirt, if this neverending winter goes away !.
I decided to give a pop mood to this look with this Guess sweater featuring Marilyn Monroe from a past season. As skirt, I went for a black pleated mini skirt in fake leather.
I also added a (no brand) necklace with color matching the cardigan.
Sono innamorata di questo blazer a stampa tribale, lo indosserò parecchio, sicuramente...anche con jeans e su di una semplice t-shirt, sempre che questo eterno inverno si decida a lasciarci in pace !.
Ho deciso di dare un tocco pop a questo look con una maglia di Guess raffigurante Marilyn Monroe, di una collezione passata. Come gonna, ho scelto una minigonna in finta pelle.
Ho anche aggiunto una collana (no brand) di un colore abbinabile al cardigan.
As bag of choice, I went for my green Prada duffle, and since I was having a pretty busy day, I decided to betray my high heels for a pair of comfy biker boots. I am happy about my choice because I like pleated miniskirts with bikers or loafers more than with pumps !.
Come borsa ho scelto il mio bauletto verde di Prada, e siccome la giornata si prospettava molto intensa, ho deciso di tradire i tacchi alti per un paio di comodi bikers. Ne sono felice perché a dire il vero preferisco le mini a pieghe con bikers o mocassini, più che con le pumps !.
According to fashion magazines and runaways, the neon trend that dominated last year is here to stay also for Spring/Summer 2013. I have to say at first I wasn't too happy about these news, because last year I went in neon overdose (see here and also here if you don't believe it !) and I was afraid I'd be sick of it.
I then realized we can use neon in small details, without abusing, and it can still add a special touch to an outfit, like I did with this look, giving a new life to an old sweater.
The most important thing is choosing neon items wisely, just like I think I did with this Maison Scotch cardigan. This way, we won't have to sign up to neonaholic anonymous ! ;-).
Secondo le riviste di moda e le passerelle, il trend del fluo che ha dominato l'anno scorso è rimasto anche per la Primavera/Estate 2013. Devo ammettere che all'inizio non ero tanto felice di queste news, perché l'anno scorso ho fatto overdose di neon (guardate questo e questo post se non ci credete !) e ho avuto paura di esserne ormai nauseata.
Poi ho capito che possiamo usare il fluo in piccoli dettagli, senza esagerare, e che può ancora dare un tocco speciale ad un outfit, come è accaduto a me nel dare nuova vita alla maglia Guess di una passata stagione.
La cosa più importante è scegliere cosa comprare in colori neon con un pizzico di saggezza, e io credo di esserci riuscita con questo cardigan di Maison Scotch. Solo facendo così riusciremo ad evitare di entrare nei neonaholic anonymous ! ;-).
