Brave enough to wear: Givenchy look alike boots

A grey day can turn brighter when you are wearing new boots, this is my personal motto. The boots I am wearing in this outfit are very inspired to Givenchy's fold-over knee boots, so trendy this season. Those boots are very controversial: the whole fashion web was torn between fans and people saying they are ugly and that not even a top model could look good in them. I obviously was a fan, as soon as I saw them for the first time.
Plus, before this happened, I have seen people dissing Lita boots, and I have decided to buy them anyway. I have seen people hating UGG boots, and I think they are the comfiest winter boots ever. I have seen people saying wedged sneakers were pure evil, yet I had a couple and love them...do you think some people saying they disliked those boots could stop me from trying to wear them ? Of course NOT ! :-).

Una giornata grigia può diventare più luminosa indossando stivali nuovi, è un po' il mio motto personale. Gli stivali che indosso in questo outfit sono molto ispirati a quelli di Givenchy, molto di moda questo inverno, stivali che hanno diviso il web del fashion tra fan sfegatate e gente che diceva che sono brutti e che neanche una modella professionista potrebbe riuscire a valorizzarsi indossandoli. Io, ovviamente, ne sono stata attratta, da subito.
In più, prima che ciò accadesse, ho letto di gente che parlava male delle Lita, e ho deciso di comprarle comunque. Ho letto di gente che odiava gli UGG, invece ne ho una piccola collezione e li trovo comodissimi. Ho letto di gente che parlava male delle sneakers con zeppa, come se fossero il male del mondo, invece io ne ho due paia e mi ci trovo bene...quindi, credete che qualche critica agli stivali di cui mi ero invaghita non appena visti potesse fermarmi dal procurarmene un paio ? Ovviamente no ! :-). C'è così tanta gente che porta le Hogan Interactive, dopotutto...il male è altrove, ahahah :-P.

I have to say these boots from Choies surprised me very much. When I ordered them, knowing I couldn't afford the real ones (about $ 1700) and that I'd rather spend the money for a real Givenchy bag instead that for boots I'd probably wear only a few times, I was fearing they were bad quality. Instead, and for $ 168, they are comfortable, their leather is very soft and they look very much like the "real" thing. I usually refrain from buying copies of real designer things, this is the only time I really "sinned", but that was my only way to free myself from the obsession of wearing such loved and hated boots. My husband was grateful and proud of me for choosing Choies over Givenchy, because he thinks these boots are a bit of a "man repeller" footwear and, of course, for the price of the real thing...I told him I am saving up to buy an Antigona bag and suddendly the day turned grey...for him ! LOL :-).

Devo dire che questi stivali di Choies mi hanno sorpresa moltissimo. Quando li ho ordinati, sapendo di non potermi permettere i veri Givenchy (circa $ 1700) e che anche potendo avrei speso simile cifra per una vera borsa Givenchy anziché per stivali moda da indossare pochissime volte, avevo la paura di trovarmi davanti ad un prodotto di cattiva qualità e di fattura pessima. Invece, e per $ 168, non solo sono comodi ma sono di una pelle morbidissima e sembrano molto come quelli "veri". Di solito, non compro mai copie esatte di accessori di famosi designer, questa volta ho "peccato" ma era l'unico modo di liberarmi dall'ossessione ricorrente di provare questi tanto amati e odiati stivali. Mio marito mi è stato grato per aver preferito Choies a Givenchy, sia perché questi stivali sono un po' da "man repeller" che per il prezzo di quelli veri...io gli ho risposto che ho risparmiato per comprarmi una "Antigona"...ed improvvisamente la giornata è tornata grigia, ma per lui !.

I have already worn these boots with miniskirts (dark opaque tights) and leggings and they are too comfortable to be true. In these pics, I matched them with a black Zara jacket from new collection, a pair of skinny jeans and a Zara envelope clutch. On my lips, another vibrant red, this time from Chanel, "Coromandel". That's all for today, I am ready to read your comments and in any case do not worry - my stilettos will be back shortly !.

Ho già portato questi stivali anche con minigonne (calze nere coprenti) e leggings e sono fin troppo comodi per essere veri. In queste foto, li ho abbinati con una giacca nera di Zara della nuova collezione, un paio di jeans skinny ed una clutch a busta sempre di Zara. Sulle labbra, un altro rosso acceso, stavolta di Chanel, "Coromandel". E' tutto per oggi, sono pronta a leggere le vostre opinioni ed in ogni caso non vi preoccupate - i miei tacchi a spillo torneranno presto !.
