I finally did it. After dreaming about Valentino Rockstud pumps for years, I have bought myself my first pair of these famous, iconic slingbacks...and I love them !. Surely, these shoes are not on the cheap side, but after a fruitless research for Valentino Rockstud shoes on sale, and not wanting to buy Valentino Rockstud shoes replica, I gave up and bought them, so here we are with my Valentino Rockstud pumps review. Since their debut in 2010, thanks to the new design duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, these pointy toed shoes with pyramid studs caught everyone's attention and quickly became a hit, so famous that some brands started to produce Valentino Rockstud lookalikes. I tried to convince myself they costed too much, but after a few years spent wanting them and seeing them everywhere, including on my favorite celebrities and fashion bloggers, I could say they became iconic enough to be bought without regrets. They are gorgeous and also comfortable !. I got them directly online, from Valentino official website. The choice was hard, Rockstuds are sold in many colors and in different kind of leather, but I went for the bicolor black patent leather and poudre Rockstuds, with light gold studs, probably the most classic pair of Valentino Rockstud pumps. After all, these are my first Rockstuds...and I feel they won't be the last pair !.
Valentino Rockstud in vernice nera
Finalmente l'ho fatto. Dopo aver sognato le scarpe Valentino Rockstud per anni, mi sono decisa a comprare un primo paio di queste famose, ormai iconiche décolleté...e le adoro !. Sicuramente, non un acquisto da poco dato il prezzo, ma non riuscendo a trovare le perfette Rockstud Valentino in saldo e non volendo comprare imitazioni scarpe Rockstud Valentino, non potevo che soccombere, pertanto ecco la mia recensione sulle Valentino Rockstud. Fin dal loro debutto nel 2010, ad opera del nuovo duo in casa Valentino, Maria Grazia Chiuri e Pierpaolo Piccioli, queste scarpe a punta con inserti di borchie piramidali hanno attirato subito l'attenzione e sono diventate presto richiestissime, tanto che alcune marche low cost hanno iniziato a produrre scarpe simili alle Rockstud. Io ho provato ad autoconvincermi di non averne bisogno, che costavano troppo, ma dopo qualche anno trascorso a desiderarle senza che passassero di moda e ad ammirarle ai piedi di celebrities e delle mie fashion blogger preferite, posso dire che sono diventate iconiche, quel tanto che basta per procedere all'acquisto senza rimpianti. Sono splendide, e anche molto comode !. Le ho acquistate direttamente dal sito ufficiale Valentino. La scelta era ardua, dato che le Rockstud esistono in vari colori e pellami, ma io ho scelto la versione bicolore in vernice nerae nude, con borchie in oro chiaro, probabilmente il paio più classico di scarpe Valentino Rockstud. Dopotutto, sono le mie prime Rockstud...e sento proprio che non saranno le ultime !.
Valentino Rockstud pump size and fit, patent or matte leather
Before buying my Valentino Rockstud pumps, I had quite a bit of online and offline research about them. First question was how Valentino Rockstud fit ? I found out that, these Valentino slingbacks fit true to size. I usually wear a european size 37 when it comes to heels, but to be sure they would be comfortable I went half size up and ordered a 37,5. My choice ended up for being perfect, so you might want to consider a half size up. Another question was: are Valentino Rockstud comfortable ? I have just walked in them around my house for now, but the answer is yes, also because the toebox is roomy and the heel is high but not too much. Another doubt I had was that I was really torn between patent leather and matte leather Rockstuds, since I loved both, but once again I did some research and patent leather is more durable and less prone to be scratched, therefore patent leather Rockstud were the best choice for me, because I love to have two kind of leather together and I wanted to wear my Valentino slingbacks without fear of them scuffing easily. I wanted to start with a classic color for my Valentino heels, just like I did with my first Chanel bag. The all nude patent leather Rockstuds are also on my wishlist, together with the red Rockstuds, in Valentino red, of course. I would get the matte leather Rockstud Noir in all black, even if I prefer the nude color straps of the two tones version, but they have a rock mood I like. I personally prefer the 4 inches heel Rockstuds, but there is also a 2,5 kitten heel Rockstud pump with three straps that is lovely, and Rockstud ballerina flats that are not my cup of tea in general. Now, I can't wait to wear my brand new pumps, and since I like them with naked legs and it's still cold here, I will have to wait patiently for a bit, but be sure you'll be seeing them often on this fashion blog !.
Valentino Rockstud, misura e calzata, scelta tra vernice o pelle mat
Prima di acquistare online le Valentino Rockstud, ho studiato diverse cose, sia online che chiedendo ad amiche che le avevano già. La mia prima domanda era: come calzano le Rockstud ?. Ho scoperto che la calzata delle Rockstud corrisponde al proprio numero abituale. Io calzo, solitamente, un 37 con i tacchi alti, ma per essere sicura ho deciso di aumentare di mezza taglia e ho ordinato un 37,5. La scelta si è rivelata perfetta, il mezzo numero garantisce solo un po' di comodità in più. Mi chiedevo se le Rockstud fossero comode, e per ora - dato che le ho portate solo per casa - la risposta è sì, la pianta è larga e il tacco alto ma non esageratamente. Inoltre, ero indecisa tra la versione in vernice o in pelle mat, dato che mi piacevano entrambe, ma ancora una volta mi sono informata e la versione in vernice è molto più resistente e meno soggetta ai graffi, pertanto le Rockstud in vernice si sono rivelate la scelta migliore per me, che, oltre ad amare il contrasto tra i due pellami di questo modello, volevo camminare nelle mie scarpe Valentino senza paura di spellarle o graffiarle facilmente. Ho voluto che il mio primo paio di Rockstud fosse classico, come è stato per la mia prima borsa Chanel. Altre Rockstud Valentino nella mia wishlist sono senza dubbio quelle tutte nude in vernice e quelle rosse, ovviamente rosso Valentino. Mi piacerebbe anche la versione interamente nera, Rockstud Noir, anche se secondo me perde un po' rispetto a quella a due tonalità, ma ne guadagna comunque in mood rock. Personalmente, preferisco le Rockstud tacco 10, ma ne esiste anche una versione con tacchetto di 6 cm e tre cinturini che trovo adorabile, oltre alle ballerine, che però non mi interessano proprio in generale. Ora non vedo l'ora di calzare le mie nuove Rockstud pumps ed uscire, ma dato che mi piacciono solo con le gambe nude e da me fa ancora freddo, dovrò attendere pazientemente, ma state sicuri che le vedrete spesso su questo fashion blog !.
