How are you, guys ? Going back to work after Christmas/New Year holidays is always a huge shock, and this morning, when the alarm went off, I didn't really want to get up ! Moreover, my Christmas tree is still here, waiting to be put aside, but I spent my free time in Zara checking on the sales and now I am here, doing one of the things I like the most: blogging, so it has to wait. Every year in this period I feel a bit melancholic, this has never changed with time. Something changed: I remember my mum buying me pinafore dresses when I was a kid, and I wasn't that enthusiastic...now I am a grown up woman and I was thinking I ended up buying a pinafore dress myself, so maybe it's in my DNA ! This sleeveless shift dress is three times trendy: it has checks, it has studs and I am sure you noticed that this shade is similar to the color of 2014 according to Pantone: radiant orchid !. Mother, I forgive you for what you made me wear...on the contrary, I thank you !.
Come state ? Tornare al lavoro dopo le ferie natalizie è sempre un grande shock e questa mattina, quando la sveglia ha suonato, non volevo saperne di alzarmi ! In più, l'albero di Natale campeggia ancora trionfante in salotto, ma io anziché disfarlo sono stata da Zara per i saldi e ora sto facendo una delle cose che preferisco, ovvero scrivere un post...l'albero dovrà attendere !. Ma veniamo al post di oggi, con un capo che mi riporta all'infanzia, quando mia madre mi comprava il cosìddetto "scamiciato", ovvero un abito senza maniche da portare su una maglia aderente o una camicia. Ne avevo tanti, forse troppi. Evidentemente il concetto di scamiciato/a è impresso nel mio DNA, perché solo ora ho realizzato di averne diversi, incluso questo, che è tre volte trendy: ha una fantasia tartan, ha le borchie e, cosa da non sottovalutare, è in un colore simile a quello che, secondo Pantone, è quello dell'anno 2014: radiant orchid ! Mamma, ti perdono per tutto ciò che mi hai fatto indossare, anzi...ti ringrazio !.

I was wearing a maxi scarf from Louis Vuitton bought ages ago, with the mongram print. It's a lovely scarf, I like to wear it even tho it's very delicate and it can easily have pulled threads.
As shoes, I went for my Givenchy lookalike boots that I bought from Choies. They are so soft and well made, surely one of my best purchases in a low cost webshop !. Sometimes a girl needs to save money for expensive boots so that she can buy expensive bags ! ;)
Portavo la maxi sciarpa Louis Vuitton comprata anni addietro, con stampa monogram. La adoro anche se è molto delicata, si "tirano i fili" troppo facilmente.
Come scarpe, ho scelto di indossare i miei stivali ispirati a quelli Givenchy che avevo comprato su Choies, morbidi e davvero ben fatti, sicuramente uno dei miei acquisti migliori da negozi di fascia low cost !. A volte una ragazza deve risparmiare su stivali che sarebbero molto costosi...per potersi comprare borse costose ! ;)

In the pics below, without the maxi scarf, you can see this Blugirl folies dress better, with the studs details, in a sort of british punk style. The fabric is flannel, so it's also pretty warm. When I was a kid and was wearing my flannel pinafore dress I couldn't know I would have worn something similar as an adult woman, LOL !.
I added a fedora hat, also to protect my hair from the extremely humid weather ;).
Nelle foto sotto, senza la sciarpona, potete vedere meglio questo abito Blugirl folies, con il dettaglio delle borchie su spalle e sul petto, in una sorta di rivisitazione del punk inglese. L'abito è in flanella, pertanto è anche abbastanza caldo. Quando ero bambina e indossavo uno scamiciato in flanella non avrei mai immaginato che avrei indossato qualcosa di vagamente riconducibile ad esso, da adulta ! LOL
Ho aggiunto un cappello a fedora sia perché ci stava bene che per proteggere i miei poveri capelli dall'umidità estrema che era nell'aria ;).

I found this dress by chance, whilst preparing a post on Stylight, this one. I had a tartan look and was looking for interesting products, when I saw it and I had to buy it. This is what happens when I am online, buying something is a matter of instinct. Well, in this case I am sure my instinct was also a reflection of my childhood, or at least this is what I told my husband when he saw me with another tartan piece of clothing !.

Ho trovato questo abito per caso, mentre preparavo un post su Stylight, questo. Avevo un look tartan e stavo cercando prodotti interessanti su quel tema, quando l'ho visto e ho dovuto prenderlo. Ecco cosa succede quando sono online, compro più che altro per istinto. In questo caso sono certa che il mio istinto sia anche stato influenzato dalla mia infanzia, o almeno è quanto ho detto a mio marito quando mi ha vista con l'ennesimo abito tartan !.
