No, the title of this post doesn't mean I am having a major ego boost. Let me explain: today's outfit is dedicated to a friend of mine, Monica. She was the one to gift me with a lovely blouse that has the writing "Outfits - bloggers do it better" on the front, and I liked that very much that I built a look around it, wearing my tartan miniskirt, a blazer and a green fedora hat.
Monica didn't get too surprised when she found out I had a blog, cause she's been knowing me for many years and she knows how much I always loved fashion, shopping and matching clothes and accessories together. All my friends know I am crazy about fashion, but only a few everyday life friends know me as a fashion blogger, and she is one of them.
I think this blouse was a way for her to say "well done", and I appreciated it a lot. Of course I do not think us bloggers do it better all the time, we are humans and of course we fail, but what's failing anyway ? I think if we are happy with what we are wearing and if it makes us feel good, we're all winners in the end, and this applies to bloggers but not only, it's the same for every single person. Fashion is fun and fashion can be our friend, especially if we face life with the right amount of irony ;).
No, il titolo di questo post non significa che sto attraversando un momento di esaltazione. Ora vi spiego: l'outfit di oggi è dedicato alla mia amica Monica, è stata lei a regalarmi questa adorabile blusa con la scritta "Outfits - bloggers do it better" sul davanti, e mi è piaciuta così tanto che ci ho costruito questo look attorno, indossando una minigonna tartan, un blazer colorato ed un cappello modello fedora in verde.
Monica non si è sorpresa più di tanto quando ha scoperto che avevo un blog, mi conosce da tanti anni e sa bene quanto io ami la moda, lo shopping e fare abbinamenti tra abiti e accessori. Tutti sanno che vado pazza per la moda, ma lei è una delle poche persone tra i miei amici a sapere del mio fashion blog. Credo che questo regalo inaspettato da parte sua volesse dire "ben fatto", e l'ho apprezzato molto. Ovviamente non penso che noi blogger creiamo sempre i migliori outfits, siamo umani e ovviamente sbagliamo, ma cosa vuol dire sbagliare ? Credo che se siamo felici di quanto indossiamo e se ci fa sentire bene, alla fine siamo tutti vincitori, e questo vale sia per i blogger che per ogni singola persona. La moda è divertimento e può essere nostra amica, specialmente se affrontiamo la vita con la giusta dose di ironia ;).

I decided to wear this fun blouse with my plaid quilted miniskirt I had bought a while ago at Pull&Bear. Since the skirt is pretty short, I prefer wearing it with opaque tights, and I thought biker boots would look good with it. I can't promise this is the last tartan item of clothing you'll see in this blog...winter hasn't come yet, and there are plenty of outfits ahead us (in the meantime, I keep brainwashing my husband and he's slowly accepting checks and plaid into his life, ihihihih ;)).
Ho deciso di abbinare questa blusa divertente ad una minigonna tartan trapuntata che avevo preso tempo fa da Pull&Bear. Dato che la gonna è piuttosto corta, ho preferito indossarla con calze opache e pesanti, e ho pensato che i bikers fossero una valida scelta.
Non posso promettervi che si tratta dell'ultimo capo in tartan che vedrete sul blog...l'inverno deve ancora arrivare, e ci sono diversi outfit davanti a noi (nel frattempo, sto continuando a fare il lavaggio del cervello a mio marito, che sta lentamente accettando i quadroni nella sua vita...ihihihi ;)).
The cute cherry cardigan, or shall I say blazer, is an old Paul & Joe item I had in my closet. I bought it together with its skirt, but I ended up wearing them separately most of the time.
My bag of choice was my beloved Balenciaga City in cobalt blue, since the skirt had touches of green and blue. My statement necklace has green and blue stones, and the cute green fedora, a woolen hat I bought at a local fair, completed the look. I fell victim of the fedora mania, I admit it !.
Il cardigan color ciliegia, o blazer, è un vecchio acquisto targato Paul & Joe e l'ho comprato insieme alla sua gonna, ma ho finito per indossare entrambi separatamente la maggior parte delle volte.
La borsa prescelta è stata la Balenciaga City in blu, dato che la gonna ha tocchi di verde e di blu. Ho anche optato per una collana con pietre verdi e blu e ho aggiunto un cappello fedora verde in lana comprato ad una fiera locale. Lo ammetto, sono stata colpita da fedora mania !.
My Carmens Padova biker boots you had already seen in another outfit, with me wearing jeans, are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever had ! They look pretty good also with a skirt and they are perfect for a relaxing day like the one I had with hubby, trying new restaurants and enjoying this still warm Fall weather.
One of the things I like the most when I buy a present for a friend is getting sure she liked it and my friend can be sure I loved her unexpected present ;). It is nice when your friends understand you and support you, isn't it ?.
I miei biker boots Carmens Padova, che avevate già visto in precedenza, portati con i jeans, sono tra le scarpe più comode che abbia mai avuto ! Stanno bene anche con la gonna e sono perfetti per una giornata all'insegna del relax come quella in cui abbiamo scattato queste foto, dopo aver provato un nuovo ristorante ad aver goduto di questo tempo Autunnale ancora così piacevole.
Una delle cose che preferisco del fare regali ad un'amica è vedere quanto la mia scelta sia stata giusta e la mia amica può essere sicura del fatto che il suo regalo inaspettato sia stato molto gradito ;). E' davvero bello sentirsi capiti e supportati dagli amici, non siete d'accordo con me ?.
