I had the opportunity to spend last week-end in a lovely country place. After spending the whole day at the beach, it only took about half an hour by car to get to a lovely bed & breakfast in the countryside, located in a very peaceful tiny village. I only had one small weekender bag with me, and since we had planned a romantic terrace dinner at the restaurant nearby, I decided to bring this cobalt blue romantic prom dress with me. A good shower, a veil of make up, a few colorful accessories and I was ready for the evening !.
Ho avuto l'opportunità di trascorrere lo scorso weekend in un bel posticino in campagna. Dopo aver trascorso l'intera giornata al mare, sono bastati una trentina di minuti in macchina per raggiungere un adorabile bed & breakfast in campagna, in un paesino molto carino e pacifico. Avevo portato con me solo un borsoncino da fine settimana, e siccome sapevo già che avremmo cenato romanticamente, su una bella terrazza con vista in un ristorante adiacente, ho deciso di portare questo abitino elegante dal taglio romantico, color blu cobalto. Una bella doccia, un velo di trucco, un paio di accessori colorati ed ero pronta per la serata !.

At Little Mistress they have so many beautiful dresses !. This cobalt dress is a perfect summer piece, it's classified as Prom dress but I think everyday is a good day to wear a nice dress, everyday is a good day to party ! Actually, I had it the wrong size, so my tailor altered it for me to my usual size (I am a size 8, and I had a size 10). I thought about pairing it with orange accessories, a statement necklace and Cesare Paciotti sandals (see them better in the pic below).
Da Little Mistress hanno tanti abiti bellissimi !. Questo abito color cobalto è perfetto per l'estate, lo trovate nella categoria "Prom dress" ma credo ogni giorno sia perfetto per un bel vestito ed ogni giorno sia perfetto per un party ! Avevo ricevuto una taglia sbagliata, così ho preferito farlo modificare dalla mia sarta di fiducia (avevo ricevuto una 10 UK ed io sono una 8 UK). Ho pensato di abbinarlo ad accessori arancio, come questa collana particolare e i sandali Cesare Paciotti (sotto ne vedete meglio i dettagli).
As bag, I went for a clutch I got on sale at Pull & Bear, featuring a neutral background and an aztec print. I am so fond of this aztec print trend, and this clutch was really cheap and too cute to leave it there !. Moreover, I didn't want to wear a very elegant bag with this dress cause it would have been too "formal" and obvious...and this clutch was small enough to fit into my other bag, so that I had minimum luggage !. Hubby couldn't believe his eyes when he saw me all dressed up and ready after such a little packing...he now believes miracles can happen ! LOL
Come borsa, ho scelto questa clutch presa a saldo da Pull & Bear, con uno sfondo neutro e fantasia azteca. Mi piace troppo la moda della stampa azteca, e questa clutch era troppo economica e carina per lasciarla perdere ! Inoltre, non volevo abbinare una borsa elegante a questo vestito, per non renderlo troppo "formale" e ovvio...e questa pochette era abbastanza piccola da entrare in un'altra borsa, così da non appesantire il bagaglio ! ;) Mio marito non riusciva a credere ai suoi occhi quando mi ha vista pronta e accessoriata nonostante il poco bagaglio...ora si è convinto che i miracoli possono accadere ! LOL
This time I didn't take Instagram pics of the delicious food I ate, because we were eating on the terrace and there only was a candle per table...the light was so poor, so I only focused on my meal and on the lovely silence that you can only find in a small country village. I am a city girl, and I wouldn't change my lifestyle, but it's true that my habit of living in the traffic jam, all the noises you hear in town, the smog, makes me appreciate a different weekend all the most !.
Questa volta non ho scattato foto Instagram di tutto il cibo delizioso che ho mangiato, perché stavamo cenando su una terrazza e le sole luci erano le candele su ogni tavolo...l'illuminazione era troppo scarsa, così mi sono concentrata solo sul mio pasto e sull'adorabile pace che si può trovare solo in un paesino di campagna come quello. Sono una ragazza di città, e non cambierei il mio stile di vita, ma è vero che essendo abituata al traffico, ai tanti rumori, allo smog, apprezzo particolarmente un weekend diverso dal solito !.
The sun was still high enough in the sky and I felt like wearing my mirror sunglasses, my lenses are cobalt just like the dress !. On my nails I had chalk white nail polish, when I know I have to change my outfit and I've got a little time it's the easiest choice, since it goes ok with almost anything !.
I enjoyed my weekend and I am looking forward to a new one...I just want the week to pass by quickly, without a proper work-free period I am getting a heavy case of Saturday Fever !.
Il sole era ancora alto quando abbiamo scattato queste foto, e ho potuto indossare i miei occhiali da sole, tra l'altro le lenti a specchio sono dello stesso color cobalto dell'abito !. Sulle unghie portavo un bianco gesso, quando so di dover cambiare outfit e ho poco tempo è la scelta più semplice, sta bene quasi con tutto !.
Mi sono divertita molto questo weekend e non vedo l'ora di viverne uno nuovo...vorrei solo che la settimana lavorativa passasse in fretta, senza ancora un vero periodo di ferie mi sta venendo una fortissima Febbre del Sabato !.
